Cascade Clamps - Cascade Manufacturing Company was founded in Portland, Oregon in 1943. They started out as a small machine shop in the beginning hiring four people. Sales for their initial year of operation amounted to about $60,000. The first recorded sales revenues involved the machining and assembly of stainless steel pipe fittings, valves and other components. Throughout 5 years of operation, the company had stretched to 40 employees and their annual sales volume had risen to $330,000. Nowadays, Cascade is one of the top worldwide manufacturers within the material handling trade.

Manufacture and design of the company's original hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive quest of better business opportunities. Over the past sixty years, the material handling business has developed into a highly advanced area and Cascade has proudly performed a part on this growth. Cascade at the moment continues to develop as the best supplier of forklift attachments and various related items. The business feels confident in their ability to be able to continue to lead the way in the business by understanding customer's needs in the future and remaining competitive in the international market.

In the nineteen fifties, Cascade started designing, manufacturing and promoting hydraulic accessories. Construction was finished in 1956 on a new facility so as to accommodate all of the office and plant operations in Portland, Oregon at the company's present headquarters. After 15 years of business, total workers reached a hundred and eighty staff and sales had reached almost 2.3 million dollars.

A second production plant was built in 1959 in Springfield, Ohio. The year 1960 marked Cascade's preliminary move into the international world of the material handling industry when the company established interest in the Netherlands, England, and Australia.

In the year 1964, the company changed its name to the Cascade Corporation. Afterward in 1965, the company went public with an initial offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. Ever since then the business has expanded its manufacturing facilities throughout the continental USA to the locations Warner Robins Georgia to go along with its already current plants in Springfield, Ohio and Portland, Oregon. Cascade merchandise are made globally thanks to lots of subsidiary operations. In the year 1944, a new plant was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European control center. This facility is made to be the ultimate customer service centre.

Continuing to develop, Cascade expanded their product offering further in 1996 and 1997 with the impressive acquisition of five corporations, together with the international best in blades, the Kenhar Corporation.
